Period 2: Students (1) revised dialogues completed as homework with peer feedback, (2) picked a favorite word from the list on page 77, (3) completed and checked listening comprehension activities 1 and 3, Kapitel 2, (4) checked 34:15, and (5) played a vocabulary game. Homework: workbook 38-9:19, 31:12. A test on Kapitel 2 was announced for 10/30.



Period 3: Students (1) took a quiz on vocabulary notes to Martin, (2) learned about the verb "gefallen" and practiced using it to talk about likes and dislikes, and (3) checked homework. Homework: pick 15 words from pages 89-90 in German is Fun to learn using the 5-column activity.



Period 4A: Students (1) reviewed how to use the verb gefallen and practiced using it to talk about likes and dislikes, (2) talked about subordinating and coordinating conjunctions, (3) found examples of subordinating conjunctions in the text, (4) talked about word order with sentences that have subordinating conjunctions, (5) checked homework, (6) read and answered questions on an invitation 87-O, (7) shared answers to #6, and (8) prepared writing samples based on either 88-P or Martin packet activity G. Homework: 97-C, 100-reading, and 98-D. A test was announced for 11/1 on lesson 5 of German is Fun 2.
