Period 2 students:
  • checked homework,
  • checked translations for Karneval, and
  • learned about using adjectives as nouns, adjectives after nichts, etwas, and viel, and quantity words.
Homework: 264- Fragen; and 224:17,18.

Period 3 students:
  • checked homework,
  • learned musical instruments,
  • talked about instruments they play and for how long,
  • completed and checked workbook 184:6, and
  • completed and partially checked 363:5.
Homework: 192-3, activities 16 and 17.

Period 4A students:
  • took a test on the conversational past,
  • heard and retold the joke about the talking horse,
  • checked translations to the Lesestück (Kapitel 12), and highlighting small but important words,
  • completed a matching activity to vocabulary from the Lesestück Kapitel 12, and wrote a written summary of the Lesestück to Kapitel 12 in twenty words or less.
Homework: workbook 188:12, 189:13.

Period 2 students attended an assembly and had academic enrichment.

Period 3 students:
  • took a quiz on the conversational past tense,
  • finished checking their translations of the Lesestück Kapitel 12,
  • demonstrated whether or not they brought their dictionaries to class,
  • checked their grades, and
  • checked 374:16 and 17.
Homework: workbook 189:13.

Period 4B students:
  • checked Monday's classwork,
  • learned about using sentences with si-clauses and using the future tense with the main idea (page 425),
  • completed and checked activity 8 page 425.
Homework: study the irregular verbs conjugated in class and on the worksheet. There will be a quiz on them on Monday 4/28.

  • checked translations of the Lesestück.
Homework: study for a quiz on the conversational past tense of weak, strong, and mixed verbs.

Period 4A students:
  • completed and checked a wordsearch on foods,
  • checked homework,
  • took a test on the conversational past,
  • read the Lesestück 372-374,
  • completed 374:16, 17,and
  • went over the results of the test.
Homework: translate the reading into English pp.372-373. Make sure you have finished 374:16 and 17.

Period 2
  • Read Willi und Milli p.262, look up and list unfamiliar words, and summarize, in German in 20 words or less what you have read.
  • Read about Karneval or Fasching p.263 and translate the reading into English.
  • Complete 132:14 and 129:11.
Period 3
  • Read "In der Tanzschule" pp.372-3.
  • Translate the entire reading into English.
  • Complete 374:16 and 17.
Period 4B
  • Read 410-411 and answer the comprehension questions.
  • Complete 422:2 and 4.
  • Read about verbs with irregular future stems p.423.
  • Write the full conjugations for the verb in the green box on page 423 in the present tense, the passé composé, the imperfect, and the simple future.
  • Complete 423:5 and 427:7.
  • Copy and translate each of the ten texts on pages 394-395.
ALL CLASSES: Finish anything you are unable to complete in class as homework.
