In Mr. Desmond's absence, students were assigned the following:


Period 2

Complete all activities p.250-266. Whoever finishes early, should start chapter 14, pp.270-289.

Period 3

Complete textbook activities 1-4 pages 264-266. Use complete sentences and translate the sentences in activities 1 and 4.

Complete the review worksheet for chapter 9.

Hand in all work. Complete unfinished work as homework.

Period 4B

Read about forming and using the imperfect pp.316-323.

Conjugate the following verbs in the imperfect: jouer, habiter, regarder, se promener, faire, lire, dormir, écrire, attendre.

Complete the activities 1,3,4,6,7,8,10 pp.317-325.

Read pp.314-315 and answer questions. Make a list of all new French words and their English equivalents.

Complete activities 1-7 pages workbook 189-191.

Hand in all work. Complete unfinished work as homework.

Period 2: Students (1) finished checking classwork from 12/20, (2) copied and submitted answers to questions in German is Fun page 212, activities 4 and 5, (3) previewed vocabulary for chapter 13 (GIF), and (4) reviewed der-words and dative verbs. No written homework.

Period 3: Students (1) took a quiz on the nominative and accusative cases, (2) read about verbs with separable prefixes on pages 272-273, (3) worked on chapter 9 dialogs. No written homework. A test on chapter 9 was announced for next Wednesday 1/9.

Period 4A: Students (1) read about verbs with separable prefixes, (2) orally completed 27.-4:7-9, (3) worked on chapter dialogs, completing 264-6:1-4 and workbook 124:1, (4) went over the Sprichwort for chapter 9, and (5) completed listening activities 1 and 2 for chapter 9. Homework: complete chapter review sheet for Kapitel 9. A test on chapter 9 was announced for next Wednesday 1/9.

Period 2: Students (1) finished watching the Threepenny Opera, (2) translated the Ballad of Mac the Knife and compared translations with a professional translation, and (3) began checking work completed on 12/20. No written homework.

Period 3: Students (1) reviewed using and forming the nominative and accusative cases, and (2) checked activity 19 page 285, compound nouns. Homework: study for a quiz on cases.

Period 4B: Students checked classwork from 12/20. Homework: no written homework.
