Here you can listen to a rock version of the Moritat von Mackie Messer. I think they do a pretty good job keeping to the spirit of the original song. I think I read that the band is from Ingolstadt.

Period 2: Students completed the written and listening portions of the chapter 5 test. Homework: read about demonstrative pronouns p.185, complete 186-7:6,7,9,11. If school is closed on 2/22 due to inclement weather, also read 192-3 and complete 194:19,20.

Period 3: Students checked homework and completed and checked activities 6,8,14, and 15 in the chapter 10 review packet. Homework: study for chapter 10 test. If school is closed tomorrow, the test will be on 2/25.

Period 4B: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed activity 7 on page 206 of the workbook to Discovering French, (3) took a quiz on lesson 26, (4) practiced pronouncing i, o/au/eau, u, ou, (5) learned about making comparisons, and (6) completed two oral activities to practice comparisons using cher and grand. Homework: study pp.364-5 and complete activity on page 366.

Period 2: Students (1) completed listening comprehension activities 5.1-5.3, (2) worked with a partner to exchange information about things people need to bring to a dinner, (3) reviewed vocabulary by playing password, and (4) completed an oral test to chapter 5. Homework: study for a test on chapter 5.

Period 3: Students (1) completed listening activities 10.2 and 10.3, (2) checked the review worksheet for chapter 3, (3) completed and checked activity 9 from the worksheet packet distributed in class to practice dative prepositions, and (4) completed an oral test to chapter 10. Homework: complete activities 5, 7, and 16 in the packet. Chapter 10 test is moved back to Friday 2-22.

Period 4A: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed listening activity 10.2, (3) incorporated selected phrases into a story, (4) took an oral exam, and (5) went over errors on writing assignment #1. Homework: study for chapter 10 test.

Period 2: Students (1) completed a writing assignment,and (2) worked with a partner and presented a directed dialog Im Restaurant. Homework: study for chapter 5 test (pushed back to Thursday 2-21).

Period 3: Students (1) tested each other on vocabulary to chapter 10, (2) completed and checked listening activity 10.1, and (3) checked classwork 322:22 and 24. Homework: study p.325 vocabulary and grammar of chapter 10 for a test on Thursday.

Period 4B: Students (1) checked answers to 336-340 questions, (2) reviewed how to form and use adverbs, (3) checked homework activity 6 p.359, (4) completed and checked page 359:7, (5) completed listening/speaking activities in the workbook pp.77-78 E-H, and (6) practiced pronouncing a, e, é, è, and ê. For homework: complete 1-6 wb 203-6, and study for a quiz on lesson 26.
