Period 2: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed a worksheet to practice pronoun objects, and (3) read the Lesestück pp.67-8. Homework: complete activities 69:19-21 that follow the reading. There will be a test on pronouns and reflexives (100 pts.) on Monday 10/22.

Period 3: In Mr. Desmond's absence, students read "Martin" and worked on the activities that followed the reading.

Period 4B: Fieldtrip to the Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore, MD. Homework: workbook page 163:1,2 and text page 227:5.

Period 4A: Students (1) presented dialogs, (2) previewed vocabulary for lesson 5, (3) read pp.71-2 "Julia möchte eine Party haben.", (4) completed a progressive translation activity with #3, and (5) took a quiz on Lektion 4, German is Fun 2. Homework: 72-79 - A-C, #2, D, E.

Period 2: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed 66:18, 75:24, and workbook 30:10 to practice pronoun replacements, and (3) workbook 31:11 with nouns specified by Mr. Desmond. Homework: redo workbook 31:11 with pronouns.

Period 3: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed and checked 58-D, (3) practiced asking and answering questions with schmecken and pronouns, and (4) completed 59, section 4. Homework: no written homework.

Period 4B: Students (1) received their bus assignment for the field trip and heard other important information about the field trip, (2) listened to several announcements about Poetry Alive and the trip to Quebec, (3) learned about lui and leur [pages 226-7], and (4) completed and checked workbook activities 3-5 pages 164-5 to practice direct and indirect object pronouns. Homework for 10/23: workbook 163:1,2 and textbook 227:5.

Period 2: Students (1) checked homework, (2) practice forming ihr-and Sie-commands based homework activity 10, (3) learned new vocabulary relating to the campground on pages 63-64, (4) learned about word order with direct and indirect objects, and (5) orally completed 14-17 pages 64 and 65. Homework: write out activities 14-17 pages 64 and 65.



Period 3: Students learned about pronouns, accusative prepositions, indirect questions, and vocabulary relating to fast food establishments by completing activites pages 53-58 in German is Fun, 2. Homework: write out answers to activity pages 57/58.



Period 4B: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed and checked listening comprehension activity K, page 66, (3) reviewed indirect questions and practiced formulating and responding to them by completing the personal questions on page 67, (4) worked in groups to write dialogues with vocabulary form L page 67, and (5) students reviewed vocabulary relating to foods and beverages and practiced stating likes and dislikes with pronouns and the verbs mögen and schmecken. Homework: study for a test on lesson 4 and learn lines for the dialogue.
