Period 2: Students watched Die Dreigroschenoper.

Period 3: Students checked yesterday's classwork on accusative prepositons.

Period 4A: Students took a quiz on vocabulary p.295 and learned about the history and origins of the song Stille Nacht.

Period 2: In Mr. Desmond's absence, students were directed to complete pp.200-207 and 210-213 in German is Fun. On page 208, regular students picked one topic and honors students picked two to write original dialogs.

Period 3: In Mr. Desmond's absence, students completed two worksheets on accusative prepositions. In addition, they completed textbook activity 19 page 285. Students were also directed to write an original sentence with each word from activity 19.

Period 4B: In Mr. Desmond's absence, students were assigned pp.307-312: comprehension quetions, 1-3, 7-10, #1 A votre tour, and the Lecture. In the workbook Discovering French, students were assigned pp.183-5:5a,5b, 1 and 2.

Period 2: Students watched Die Dreisgroschenoper.

Period 3: Students (1) completed a quiz on vocabulary p.295, (2) reviewed use of accusative prepositions, (3) completed 279:14 and 280:15, and (4) learned about compound nouns. Homework: study the accusative prepositions. Know all 5 and their English equivalents.

Period 4A: Students (1) completed and checked a vocabulary worksheet to practice page 295, (2) checked homework, (3) learned about compound nouns, (4) completed and checked a worksheet on accusative prepositions, and (5) played Steh auf! Homework: study vocabulary page 295.

Period 2: Students completed the listening comprehension portion of the Kapitel 4 test and began watching The Threepenny Opera.

Period 3: Students (1) finished checking homework from 12-14, (2) completed and checked a worksheet to review chapter 9 vocabulary, (3) reviewed forming and using the accusative case with nouns and pronouns, (4) learned about using the accusative case with accusative prepositions p.278, and (5) orally completed p.279-activity 14. Homework: study for a vocabulary quiz on page 295.

Period 4B: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed and checked workbook activities 3 and 4 to practice qui, (3) learned about que p.311, (4) orally completed 311:6 and 7, (5) completed and checked workbook activity 7 page 188, (6) completed and checked 187:5 workbook, (7) read and viewed the vidéo-scène, noting new grammar forms of verbs in the imperfect habitais, avais, était, and (8) completed and checked activity A workbook page 63. Homework: no written homework.

Period 2: Students completed a writing/speaking test on chapter 4. Tomorrow, they will complete a listening comprehension test on chapter 4.

Period 3: Students (1) reviewed using the present tense with seit, (2) translated some sentences to practice #1, (3) talked about activities they have been doing and for how long, and (4) started to check homework. Homework: study vocabulary.

Period 4A: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed a quiz, (3) learned about accusative prepositions, (4) completed a practice worksheet with two activities to practice #3, (5) orally completed 279:14, (6) completed and checked 280:15, and (7) orally completed 280:16. Homework: workbook 131:7 + English.
