Period 2: Students (1) completed and checked the pretest to Kaptel 4, (2) completed listening activities 1 and 3, and (3) checked homework. Homework: study for the test on Kapitel 4.

Period 3: Students (1) listened to a recording of the Lesestück K9, (2) checked homework, (3) listened to Europa by Pilos Puntos, and (4) learned about using the present tense + seit. Homework: WB127:4 (+English translation) and 133:10 (+English translation).

Period 4B: Students (1) orally completed 302:3,4 and 304:7, (2) completed workbook activities 1,3 and 4 pp. 181-3, (3) completed a vocabulary quiz to lesson 21, (4) learned about qui p. 310 C. amd (5) orally completed 310:4 and5. Homework: 310:5 and signed grade report.

Period 3: Students (1) took a quiz on chores and hobbies, (2) reviewed separable-prefixed verbs, and (3) completed three worksheets to review #2. Homework: 281-3 read, complete 287:17, 18.

Period 4A: Students (1) checked homework, (2) talked about hobbies and chores, (3) reviewed separable-prefixed verbs, and (4) completed and checked three activities to practice #3. Study for a test on separable-prefixed verbs, hobbies, the reading Pilos Puntos, and chores. WB 127-133:4,5,6,10.

Period 3: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed a wordsearch to review vocabulary related to hobbies and chores, and (3) completed and checked a matching activity to practice hobbies and chores. Homework: study for a quiz on hobbies and chores (pp. 275, 270).

Period 4B: Students (1) practiced reading aloud the text pp.298-299, (2) noted new vocabulary to the reading, (3) watched a video about where French people live, (4) checked homework, (5) learned about using depuis with the present tense, (6) were introduced to all of the vocabulary in lesson 21, (7) completed listening/speaking activities 64-C and 65-D. Homework: study vocabulary 300-304 for a quiz.

Period 2: Students (1) checked homework, (2) previewed vocabulary to the Lesestück and responded to questions using it, (3) took turns reading aloud the reading, and (4) orally completed 132:15, 132:16.1-16.4. Homework: wb64-5:8,9. (English for 8).

Period 3: Students (1) took a listening comprehension test to Kapitel 8, (2) were introduced to new vocabulary p.270 and p.275. Homework: 271:5, 276:11, 277:13.

Period 4A: Students (1) completed and checked two activities to review the Lesestück (GVE 12,11), (2) checked homework, (3) were introduced to new vocabulary p.270, 275, (4) learned about using the present tense + (schon) seit to express for how long one has been doing something, (5) translated five sentences to practice #4. (6) reviewed definite articles for selected words, and (6) talked about things people have to do around the house. Homework: 271:5, 276:11, 277:13.

Period 2: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed and checked workbook activity 5 page 62, (3) enjoyed a musical break, and (4) followed along as teacher read aloud pages 124-5 and noted new vocabulary. Homework: 126:11, 127:12, 128:13.


Period 3: Students took a written and speaking test to Kapitel 8.

Period 4B: Students took a listening/writing/speaking test on Unit 5. They read 290-94 and answered questions on the reading. Finally, the completed workbook activity page 298. Homework: read pp.298-300, note new vocabulary, and complete activity 1 page 300.
