Plans during Mr. Desmond's absence.

From 2/5 through 2/10, Mr. Desmond will be chaperoning a group of CHS French students to Quebec. During his absence students have the following assignment:

Period 2
2/6 read "Wie und wo essen die Deutschen" pp.169-170, translate the reading into English, answer questions on page 171
2/7 read pp.150-52, complete matching activity p.152, answer questions p.155 "Etwas Persönliches", complete exercise 26 page 172
2/11 complete review worksheet for chpater 5, study vocabulary page 175

Period 3
2/6 read "Ein großer Tag" p.315, translate the reading, complete both activities on page 316
2/7 complete activity 6 page 307, read "Fußball" pp.319-320, complete the activity on page 321
2/11 complete review worksheet for chapter 10, complete 321-22:20-24, for activities 22 &34 students should copy the paragraphs and sentences

2/6 read chapter 22 pp.319-335 in French 2 Years, complete all activities on these pages

February 5 recap:

Period 2: Students (1) played a vocabulary review game, (2) took a quiz on vocabulary in K5 dialogs and der-words, (3) completed and checked 146-148:1-4, and (4) went over assignments for the next three class periods.

Period 3: Students (1) completed and checked activity 4, page 300, and (2) checked homework. Student were also given their assignments for 2/6, 2/7 and 2/11.

Period 4A: Students (1) checked homework, (2) unscrambled chapter 10 dialogs, (3) listened to recordings of the dialogs and repeated after them, (4) noted new vocabulary from the dialogs, (5) completed and checked activities 1-4 pp.298-300, and started homework. Homework: workbook 142-3:1,2.

Period 2: Students (1) checked homework, and (2) listened to dialogs pp.146-7, noting new vocabulary and answering comprehension questions. Homework: study vocabulary noted in class and study for a quiz on the der-words.

Period 3: Students (1) checked homework, (2) took a quiz on fahren, laufen, basteln, and wandern, (3) ordered sentences for three related dialogs, noting new vocabulary and reading them aloud, and (4) listened to a recording of the dialogs. Homework: 298-300:1,2,3. Translate the sentences in #3.

Period 4B: Students (1) checked homework, (2) completed and checked F2Y chapter 25 activities E, F, G, I , J, K, M, N, (3) learned about ordinal numbers, and (4) orally completed 356:1 and 357:2. Homework: study ordinals and cardinals.
