• completed and checked a word search to review vocabulary related to the Oktoberfest, and
• composed stories with ten of the vocabulary words from the word search beginning with the phrase Beim Oktoberfest hatten ich und meine Freunde viel Spass...

Homework: read the text Karneval (handout received in class on 5/6), note new vocabulary words and look them up, and complete the comprehension activity.

Period 3 students:

• took a test on possessives,
• read about Switzerland, and
• learned about some metric conversions based on content in the reading.

Homework: students should finish their translations of the reading p.382.

Period 4A students:

• listened to a recording of the dialogs pp.356-357 and repeated as cued,
• checked homework (worksheet, 358:3,4),
• completed and checked a worksheet to review possessives,
  
• took some notes on pitfalls when using possessives, and
• went over the format for Friday's quiz.
