Period 2 students:

• heard a joke,
• reviewed vocabulary from last night's sentences,
• completed a matching activity to practice the vocabulary,
• finished checking yesterday's classwork, and
• checked activity F from last night's homework.

Homework: complete activity O on handout.

Period 3 students:

• heard and retold a joke,
• wrote a summary of the joke,
• checked translations to the reading on Switzerland p.382, and
• were given a model answer for the homework.

Homework: Find five sentences which begin with something other than the subject in the reading on page 382. Copy each sentence, rewrite it, beginning the subject, underline the subject in each sentence once and the verb twice.

Period 4 students:

• listened to a joke, retold it, and summarized it in writing,
• checked today's homework,
• completed some sentence fill-ins (handout) to practice the verbs in lesson 12,
• read p.382 "Die Schweiz",
• watched a presentation on Switzerland,
• learned about metric conversions,
  
• took a quiz on possessive pronouns, and
  
• watched a video segment Ich wünsche Ihnen alles Gute.

Homework: translate the reading on page 382 and answer the questions in the second activity on the bottom of page 383.
